Barnard Hughes war ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler, geboren am 16. Juli 1915 in Bedford Hills, New York. Er war auch unter dem Namen Bernard Hughes bekannt. Hughes studierte am Manhattan College und an der La Salle Academy. Für seine Arbeit wurde er mit einem Emmy und einem Tony Award als bester Hauptdarsteller ausgezeichnet; zudem erhielt er eine Tony-Nominierung als bester Nebendarsteller. Er starb am 11. Juli 2006 in New York City.
