David Paul Cronenberg ist ein kanadischer Filmregisseur, Drehbuchautor und Schauspieler. Er ist einer der Hauptbegründer des allgemein als Body-Horror bekannten Genres. Seine Filme erforschen viszerale körperliche Transformationen, Infektionskrankheiten und die Verflechtung von Psychischem, Physischem und Technischem.
