Laurie Anderson, geboren am 5. Juni 1947 in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, ist eine US-amerikanische Performance-Künstlerin, Musikerin, Filmregisseurin und Schauspielerin. Sie ist auch unter dem Namen Laura Phillips Anderson bekannt. Anderson studierte am Barnard College und an der Columbia University. Zu ihren Auszeichnungen zählen der Rome Prize, ein Guggenheim-Stipendium, der Wolf-Preis in der Kunst und die Qwartz-Preise. Im Film und Fernsehen war sie unter anderem in „Rugrats - Der Film“, „Feministinnen - Was haben sie sich gedacht?“ und „Alive from Off Center“ zu sehen.
