Handlung
Top of the Pops brachte seit den 1960er-Jahren aktuelle Pop- und Rockmusik auf die Bühne der BBC. Die Sendung stellte vor allem neue Titel und Live-Auftritte von Künstlern aus dem Mainstream vor und machte daraus ein festes Fernsehformat mit wechselnden Moderatoren und Gästen. Über die Jahre gehörten unter anderem Richard Bacon, Fearne Cotton, Reggie Yates, Edith Bowman und Rufus Hound zum Team vor der Kamera.
Die Musiksendung lief über 43 Staffeln und prägte damit mehrere Jahrzehnte britisches Fernsehen.
